Browne Jacobson shakes up its talent development with new apprenticeship programmes 29/03/2018

National law firm Browne Jacobson has announced its plans to shake up the way in which it recruits and develops its talent with the launch of new apprenticeship programmes in March and September 2018.

The 100+ apprenticeship positions will be offered across the firm’s offices and will see Browne Jacobson invest 100% of its apprenticeship levy into the new programmes.

Part of this initiative will be the ‘Career Start’ programme available from September 2018 in the firm’s Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester offices, aimed at external candidates and current employees who wish to develop their career pathway via apprenticeships. Two career start cohorts will be created: one of 12 business administration level 3 apprenticeships positions via an administration assistant role and one of 12 paralegal positions via a legal assistant role. In the second year of the paralegal apprenticeship, participants will have the option to apply to join the firm’s solicitor apprenticeship scheme.
CILEx Law School will deliver the training to the 12 paralegal apprentices.

CILEx Law School has been delivering apprenticeships to Browne Jacobson since it became one of the first law firms in the country to launch an apprenticeship scheme in 2012.
