CILEx Law School highly commended at the Modern Law Awards
CILEx Law School was highly commended in the ‘Supporting the Industry’ category at the Modern Law Awards 2016 which were held at The Hurlingham Club on 11 November 2016. Jenny Pelling, CILEx Law School’s Director of Business and Apprenticeships was there to receive the award.
CILEx Law School’s contribution to the legal sector in delivering high quality, flexible training to over 1,000 legal services organisations was recognised by the award. ?The award criteria required nominees to show evidence that the support they provided facilitated an increased level of expertise, professionalism and innovation, and also that clients’ experience/ performance had been improved and value had been added.
Training delivered by CILEx Law School leads to recognised qualifications awarded by the Chartered
Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx). Flexible delivery methods allow training to be delivered alongside full-time employment. In larger organisations training is delivered to cohorts of staff in the context of CILEx ‘academies’, where time is allocated for in-house teaching and study leave. As well as enabling organisations to deliver an improved service to their clients, this training can fulfil strategic objectives including:
• improved staff retention and loyalty
• reduced payroll and recruitment costs
• compliance with the training obligations of the SRA Code of Conduct
• achievement of corporate and social responsibility (CSR) objectives
On receiving the award, Jenny Pelling said: “We are delighted that our work in supporting our clients in the legal sector has been recognised in this way.”
