Strong performance by CILEx Law School students in June 2018 exams
The waiting was over today as students found out their results from the CILEx June 2018 exam session.
The results again show a strong performance by CILEx Law School (CLS) students with pass rates higher than the overall CILEx pass rate.
At Level 3, 80 per cent of CLS students succeeded in their exams, against the overall CILEx pass rate of 73 per cent, and a pass rate for all other institutions of 67 per cent.
There was also an impressive performance by CLS students at Level 6. Here, the pass rate for CLS students was 60 per cent, against the overall CILEx pass rate of 54 per cent and a pass rate for all other institutions of 47 per cent.
CLS students achieved 100 per cent success rate in the professional skills units – Client Care Skills and Legal Research Skills – at both Level 3 and Level 6.
There were also plenty of success for our apprentices who achieved an overall pass rate of 88% at Level 3 and 66% at Level 6.
Apprentices following the Paralegal Apprenticeship study for CILEx Level 3 units as part of their programme. Chartered Legal Executive apprentices sit both CILEx Level 3 and CILEx Level 6 units, although exemptions are given for prior CILEx Level 3 study and for those holding a law degree.
These were the first Level 6 exams to have been taken by Chartered Legal Executive apprentices since the Apprenticeship Standard was introduced in September 2016.
Kim Morrison, Academic Director at CLS, said: “Many congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to achieve these results.
“All of our students studying law and practice units are able to test their legal knowledge and improve their exam skills by submitting written study exercises followed by a mock exam.
“This means they are exam-ready when it comes to the big day.
“Our learners also have access to further dedicated resources on our online Student Area, ensuring that that they have the best possible preparation for succeeding in their exams.”
