Thomson Snell & Passmore recruiting Paralegal Apprentice for its Employment team

Leading South East law firm Thomson Snell & Passmore is pleased to announce that it is recruiting a Paralegal Apprentice to join the firm in its Thames Gateway office in Dartford, Kent.

This is an important collaboration with CILEx Law School to further develop routes into the legal profession.

The firm has partnered with the CILEx Law School to offer this opportunity, with the successful candidate starting in January 2019.

Over the two-year Paralegal Apprenticeship programme, the apprentice will gain a solid foundation for working in a law firm and develop the appropriate skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in law.

This will include hands-on training whilst studying towards a recognised qualification, the CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice.

The apprentice will work within the firm’s Employment team, supporting partners and fee earners to contribute to the overall success of the team and the firm.

The appointment of an apprentice comes at an exciting time for Thomson Snell & Passmore as it prepares for its 450th anniversary and a major office move in Tunbridge Wells, which will consolidate its existing three offices.

Nick Hobden, Employment Partner from Thomson Snell & Passmore (photo) said: “We are pleased to be able to give someone from our local community the chance to join our firm and to gain first-class training for their first job in the legal sector. We are very excited about the future possibilities linked to offering this apprenticeship.”

Jenny Pelling, CILEx Law School.s Director of Business and Apprenticeships, said: “We are delighted that Thomson Snell & Passmore are taking on a Paralegal Apprentice. It fits the business model well and offers career progression for the hard-pressed graduate market.
